Creative Thinking Technique – Freedom

Posted by admin on Sunday, December 20th, 2009

creative thinking technique

Children are great examples of creative imaginations. Children think, grow, and imagine endless possibilities. They don’t view from a logical perspective, nor do they place boundaries and limitations. They are simply ‘free minded’ and expressive of their imaginations. Such imaginations make us laugh, smile, and enjoy their company. Through such experiences we do not realize the importance as adults to harness the same ‘freedom.’

Welcome to the concept of ‘FREEDOM.’ I define freedom as the ‘absence of interference’ allowing yourself limitless possibilities for unthinkable solutions. No ideas are considered bad, in fact the more left field the ideas the better. Practical ideas do not come from thinking practical. They come from a bigger picture and through conversation the idea becomes practical and simple. Allow your team to think of impossible solutions that make you think, ‘how will we pull that off?’ Such ideas are the true inspiration behind challenging problems. By permitting yourself to think outside the boundaries of ordinary, normal thought, brilliant new solutions can arise.

So the next time you are faced with a problem, allow yourself the freedom to think unordinary.

Freedom On!
